A Thank you from Ivan Burgos to the Ontario Handball Family
Dear Ontario handball Association,
I am very proud to have represented my home province and country at the World Handball Championships held in Minneapolis Minnesota earlier this month, which I could not have attended without your help. Ontario is always so generous and supporting when it comes to in my development in Handball.
These 2018 Worlds, I played in the 19 and under division for singles and doubles as well. My day to day training and practicing this summer helped me get to the finals in the singles, taking out the number one seed in the quarter finals and 4th seed in the semifinals. Two long and very tough quarter final and semifinals matches the day before finals took a lot out of me and I lost to a very experienced, powerful and well rounded player.
Although I didn’t win the gold, the 2018 worlds was a success as I have made myself proud by winning the tough games I had and hope to have made my family and friends from the Ontario Handball association proud. Ontario has always supported me in one way or another and has helped me get to the level I am at today, competing at the international level.
